· Aviation Art Winners March 2012		2012 Winners VT Aviation Art Ceremony, March 19, 2012. Sandra Bolger, VT Aviation Coordinator, paid a visit to Rochester to award 6 winners with certificates and a Michael’s Art gift card!! 22 schools participated, but Rochester had a clean sweep of Group 1(Elementary) and Group 2(Middle School.) Cynthia McPhetres, Rochester Art teacher, invited Sandy Haas, Rochester’s State Representative, who spoke briefly. Parents and relatives of the winners and all students K-8. Also attending was Jolanta Labejza, of the School Board, Martha Slater from The Herald, and Anni Mackay, from Bigtown Gallery. Mackay spoke of the importance of art. She outlined the individual beauty of each picture, and emphasized that the winners were problem solvers.
